Generator Responsibilities

As per South African law, the "Generator" (Healthcare Facility) retains cradle-to-grave responsibility for their waste until strict disposal criteria are met. By using MediGo Waste, you automate the compliance trail, but you must ensure:

  • 01
Segregation at Source: Waste must be separated into the correct color-coded containers immediately.
  • 02
Safe Packaging: Sharps boxes must be sealed when 3/4 full. Liners must be knotted securely.
  • 03
Labeling: Every container must be identifiable. (Our Driver Tagging system assists with this).
  • 04
Storage: Waste must be stored in a secure, designated area away from public access.
